This is a simple healthy side dish you can pair with any meal.
Ingredients (Doesn’t have to be exact measure)
460g red cabbage
240g apples, cored and chopped small
80g onions, chopped small
1 tablespoons agave nectar
1 tablespoons red wine vinegar
10 g butter
salt and pepper
Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 2, 300°F (150°C).
Shred the cabbage finely, in a large casserole,combine all the ingredients.
Place lid on dish and place in oven for 2-2½ hours, stirring everything around once or twice during the cooking.
Red cabbage, once cooked, will keep warm without coming to any harm, and it will also re-heat very successfully. And, yes, it does freeze well
